Embark on an Epic Journey

The N7 Route - CT to NA

Unveil Boundless Horizons and Unforgettable Landscapes Along the Way

Discover the Magnificence of the N7 Route

The N7 is a national route in South Africa that runs from Cape Town northwards to the Namibian border at Vioolsdrif. This route stretches over two South African provinces, the Western Cape and the Northern Cape, covering a distance of 1 478km to Namibia’s capital, Windhoek. Once travellers manage to conquer the Western Cape on the first part of this long journey, a stopover somewhere in the Northern Cape is a must-do.

During spring, this route takes visitors into the heart of the floral kaleidoscope that is the Namaqua flower season. The wildflowers of the Cape West Coast and Namaqualand are regarded as a botanical wonderland. Tourists, photographers and botanists are attracted to this spring spectacle. Many guesthouses, camps and small country hotels/B&B offer charming facilities and after a long drive, most weary travellers enjoy the country hospitality and a good night’s sleep.

After crossing the border, the route changes designation to B1 which runs through to Windhoek and then further to the Northern regions of Namibia.
