Namibia surpasses most other African holiday destinations, primarily because of its vastness and wide open spaces. Yet there is so much more to discover when visiting this land of compelling beauty.
Having published many books on Namibia over the years, the most recent series being the annual Namibia Travel Companion, we decided that the time had come to follow the online trend of publishing an app.
It was an exciting project to put more than 25 years of travel stories and photographs into a concise online application to assist the overseas traveller in making choices on accommodation, activities and services on offer.
We hope that you will be able to put it to good use and that it will become your travel bible on your Namibian adventure.
We just recently launched the Web Application for those of you who prefer to book and search on the world wide web, sitting at your desktop.
The idea is to book at home using the Web APP and to then download the APP to your smartphone to accompany you on your travels. The Web APP also features all offline maps in a downloadable zip file which is a handy tool when travelling in remote areas with no WiFi. Add those maps to your phone before you leave and you will never get lost.

The Adventure Curator
Roucille is happiest when there’s a map in hand, a camera around her neck, and a new horizon to explore. Her adventures have taken her to some interesting and remote places.
From the deserts of Namibia and Iraq to the jungles of Papua to the icy wilderness of Antarctica, always in search of unique experiences and great stories. She brings together her passion for travel, photography, and marketing to help others discover the incredible beauty, wildlife, and spirit of Namibia.
Matthew (Mat) Ferguson
The Outdoor Explorer
Matthew has a passion for the outdoors, be it hiking, camping or exploring. A full tank of fuel, some snacks and the open road to a new adventure or destination = happiness!
He is a family man with a wife, Roucille and son, Daniel who share the same love of adventure and the outdoors and will frequently be seen travelling together.
Life is too short not to do some travelling and exploring new places. Pick the destination, plan the adventure and go for it!

Dave is a true African – born in Zambia, raised in Zimbabwe, having spent the last 30 years travelling through Namibia and South Africa – he captures African life on film, producing brilliant images and footage to promote the tourism and hospitality industry.
Founder of the Where to Stay and co-founder of Legends of Africa, the Namibia APP and WebApp. The bush is his passion – give him his 4×4, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and his cameras and he is a happy man.

Sylvia Kaschik
The Diplomatic Creative
A born and bred Namibian, Sylvia keeps her finger on the pulse when it comes to getting jobs done on time and makes sure that no sub-standard work is produced. Much of her time is also spent on location for photography and film shoots as the team ventures all over Namibia and Southern Africa to visit clients, cover events and to find new footage for the APP.
A good cup of coffee is almost as important as fine wine, great company and home cooked family meals. With her home is where the heart is.
