This family-owned farm is situated on the edge of the Khomas escarpment with unspoiled mountain scenery, a mere 2-hour drive from Windhoek, the Capital City, which is on route to Sossusvlei via Solitaire. Making Stofpad the ideal place for a stop-over or just a quick pop-in. This remote lodge in the untouched wilderness makes for the ideal getaway from the bustling city life, making one feel re-energized and relaxed.
‘Stofpad’ translated from Afrikaans, means ‘dust road’; and that perfectly describes our countryside. We deeply value our Afrikaans heritage at our lodge.
Our ‘Stofpad Farm Shop’, located at the main building, is stocked with all the necessities you need for your stay. We locally source all our products, from meat to firewood to even homemade ice cream. Ice cold beer from our own craft brewery is also available at our Shop. The recreational area at the main building includes a swimming pool and children’s playground. With various facilities and activities to choose from, one will never get bored.
Stofpad currently offers the following accommodation:
Two Luxury Campsites, with a kitchenette, bathroom, outside barbeque, firepit and high shaded areas (ideal for roof-top tents). A parking area for a trailer or caravan with a power point is also available.
Small Standard Campsites each with shaded area, small barbeque pit, water point and light with power outlet. These campsites share a big Ablution Area with bathrooms, restrooms, a communal kitchen and laundry room. The campers have access to a swimming pool at the ablution area.
Stofpad also offers two exclusive Self-Catering Chalet’s that have a fully equipped Kitchen, dining and lounge area. Rooms have two single beds and includes air-conditioning, outside barbeque and shaded parking.
COMING SOON: Stofpad plan to open ten Lodge Twin Rooms from 1st of September 2024. Each spacious room has two single beds, lounge area, bathroom and includes air-conditioning. A small kitchenette with a wash basin, bar fridge, coffee station. Each room will have a porch with a barbeque and a marvellous mountain view.
Stofpad will also open the restaurant together with the Lodge Rooms.
