At Shametu River Lodge you will be experiencing the tranquillity of the Kavango River on your doorstep.

Just around the corner are two parks forming part of the Bwabwata National Park – Mahango Game Park and Buffalo Core Area, where you are guaranteed to see at least 2 of the big five and many more antelopes you don’t really get in the rest of Namibia.

For the birding enthusiasts you can spot the Wattled Crane, Pel’s Fishing Owl and African Skimmer to just name a few.Tiger Fishing is available for the more adventurous.

The Shametu River Lodge Luxury Chalets are nestled between lush trees. Each of the 11 Chalets are beautifully furnished and offers guests an en-suite bathroom, Mosquito Net, Coffee Station and Lounge area.

During the day you can visit our coffee shop where we over a delightful variation of light meals from breakfast up to 3pm. The coffee shop also offers delicious imported coffee and scrumptious cakes and tarts baked by our experience baker.
