In the local Herero language, Ohange means “Peace”, which is exactly what you will find here. A must-visit destination, Ohange Namibia Lodge is designed to blend into the tranquility and harmony of raw Namibian nature. Where you while away the time watching nature’s television from the restaurant and patio, or prefer to soak up the sun on the pool terrace with a refreshing drink in hand, Ohange will rejuvenate your soul and tantalize your senses.
Our guests of honour are invited to a home-cooked meal beneath the twinkling stars while enjoying the abandant wildlife at the waterhole. Let the warmth of the blazing camp fire surround you, while we, Karla and Justus, shares our experiences and vast knowledge of Namibia.
Whether you are an ardent birder or a trigger happy camera-man, Ohange ensures a memorable vacation with a number of activities to cater for all walks of life, families, romantic break-away, the young and the wise.
Situated just 30km north of Otavi on the B1 en-route to Tsumeb, the Etosha National Park, Owamboland and Kavango, we lie in the heart of the Otavi mountains. The Lodge is shaded by large Marula and Tamboti trees, overlooking a landscape as breathtaking as it is peaceful. Scattered on a leafy hillside close to the main Ohange building lies a group of 10 stone-built, thatched African Style Mountain Huts, well spaced for privacy, but still within close range of the central facilities.
Ohange Lodge offers you three options for self catering.
Treat yourself to hospitality in true Namibian style and enjoy your dinner under open skies overlooking the waterhole.
