Namgate Guest House is located just outside the town of Grunau in the Karas region, 5 km south of Grunau. It is the very first farm after you enter Namibia from the South African border. Here you can find rest and enjoy what nature brings. We hope to make you feel right at home with our hearty home-cooked meals and enjoy receiving guests in our authentic, natural setting.
Namgate is ideal for overnight accommodation for travelers and groups – en-route to South Africa or Namibia.The guesthouse was built-in 2001 and offers accommodation in a variety of categories including guest rooms, self-catering options as well as camping facilities, making Namgate also perfect for larger groups.
Breakfasts and dinners are available on request. Additional facilities include freezing facilities, braai facilities, a bar, a dining area and conference facilities. There is cellphone reception and full Nampower electricity on the farm.
We have a family-based guesthouse as well as a butchery for all of you that long for a delicious braai/barbecue and wide open spaces with a view from the balcony.
We are proud to be in an easily reachable area where you can indulge in the beauty of The Fish River Canyon and the popular Ai-Ais Hotsprings, as well as river rafting at the Orange-river. All of these places are at a radius of 120 km.
