Düsternbrook is the first guest farm in Namibia, only 45 min from Windhoek (new highway A1 direction Etosha, exit D1499/Okapuka).
Our guest farm is perfect for your first or last days in Namibia. On our traditional family owned safari and guest farm (since 1962) overnight and day visitors are welcomed alike. We are open all day and the whole year around.
Our main attractions are the unique Leopard and Hippo Drive in a spectacular setting and our new activity called Sky unlimited. It is a combination of a game drive and a sundowner on top of a mountain with 360 degree view. Spectacular. You can enjoy a light lunch, a game drive, a morning scenic mountain drive, horse riding for beginner and advanced with game viewing from horseback and different hiking trails.
On our guest farm we have more than 15 different wildlife species: giraffe, mountain- and plain zebra, oryx, kudu, the sable antelope, cape eland, waterbuck, baboon, steenbok, leopard and even Hippo.
For the individual traveller we offer, in carefully renovated buildings, separate and individually furnished guest rooms. All guest rooms (star rating 1 to 4) have a comfortable double bed and en-suite bathroom with solar heated showers. Some guest rooms have air-condition a mini-bar and Nespresso coffee machine others have warm water kettle for tea or coffee. We have upgraded our WLAN to MB.
Point of View, 11 km from the main house has 3 spacious luxury suites ( max 6 persons) with solar powered air-condition. In the main building with lounge, bar and dinner table. Enjoy your dinner from a personal chef
and a small menu you can chose from. Point of View has an infinity pool with a beautiful view and sundowner. Activities: game drive in the area and other activities can be booked at the main house.
