Walk barefoot in the sandy riverbed of the Omaruru river and find yourself immersed into an Africa experienced by only the lucky few. 12 en-suite self-catering tents and 4 luxury private camp sites line the often-dry riverbank and is home to the authentically down to earth Camp Namibia. A lapa, swimming pool and close-by watering hole set the scene for a relaxed family safari.

Created by Namibians, with the intention of showcasing our love of camping, we offer a down to earth experience without compromising on the little luxuries.

SELF-CATERING GLAMPING SUITES: Namibian barefoot luxury
Lining the often dry Omaruru River bed are 12 self-catering glamping tents. Unfenced, the area is free to be roamed by game and offers the ultimate Namibian experience. Fully equipped, our glamping tents feature an en-suite bathroom, twin or double bed, a sleeper couch and a complete kitchen. A large outside deck and braai offers the perfect place to watch the sun set over the plains. Each unit is equipped with it’s own solar power system to provide electricity in a sustainable, eco-friendly manner.

CAMP SITES: authentically Namibian
Our 4 camp sites, all positioned for maximum privacy, provide the ideal location to truly experience what the Namibian bush has to offer. Each site has private facilities featuring a bathroom with shower, kitchen preparation area including minibar fridge and washing up area, as well as 220V electricity provided by a solar system. The kiosk at the lapa has items of a basic nature for sale. Camp sites are stocked with wood on arrival and a boma fireplace provides the perfect spot to put your feet up and enjoy a night under the stars.

CAMP NAMIBIA LAPA: It’s the little luxuries:
The lapa houses the hub of Camp Namibia. A sparkling blue swimming pool, complete with kiddies splash pool, is the perfect place to cool down. A firepit and lush lawns offers the perfect setting to watch the sunset over the river. The pizzeria bar offers wood-oven fired pizzas, as well as other small meals and light refreshments for sale as well as a shop offering basic supplies and curio items. Our information concierge can advise on self-drive game routes and can answer any questions that may arise. A nearby water hole with viewing deck is the perfect place to unwind and experience the spectacle of nature on offer.

The TimBila Nature Reserve airstrip consists of a 50m wide compound gravel runway which is 1230m in length.
